Anne Hathaway Cottage & Shakespeare Garden

• Shakespeare Garden was started on April 23, 1927.

• In 1932, the Anne Hathaway Cottage was built following the design of the original structure in Stratford-on-Avon, England.

• In 1995, a thatched roof was added to the cottage, the only one in South Dakota.

• The cottage and gardens host teas, tours, weddings, an annual Shakespeare play, and Christmas events.
            **Teas must be scheduled 5-7 days in 
            advance to allow volunteers to prepare.

• Shakespeare Gardens are open during daylight hours.
